Stone Siding Events Wedding band & Acoustic Duo
Ellie & Edward found us back in 2021, after stumbling across one of our videos on a facebook group, of all places! It turns out what you think is repetitive and bordering on spamming on social media can actual put you in touch with some pretty cool people… Lesson learned! 😉
The newly engaged couple were on the hunt for a couple of acoustic wedding singers for the ceremony and drinks reception at the picturesque Stone Siding Events wedding venue in Northamptonshire. After watching through a few of our acoustic videos on our website we were delighted they decided to have us join their celebrations, and we were raring to go for their July 2022 wedding day!
We arrived at Stone Siding Events wedding venue to the most breathtaking view of the countryside, as well as one solitary horse, who did not grace us with his presence, next time bud, next time!

We setup in record time to rehearse Ellie & Edwards acoustic ceremony songs. The happy couple chose Jack Johnson’s better together for Ellie’s (and her bridesmaids) entrance, a Shania Twain medley for their signing – yes, please! and also a pretty kick-ass tune from counting crows which has been stuck in our heads for weeks now… Accidentally In Love, from Shrek 2, yes – that’s right Ellie is obsessed with Shrek, and who can blame her?!
After a little run-through of the wedding music, we met the amazing Louise Gather from Kick Ass Gatherings, who came over to let us know about her approach to a bespoke, personalised ceremony. We were so amazed by the job she did. We totally recommend having a celebrant, humanist ceremony, and would love to work alongside Louise again, go and check her out, people!
With gale force winds the beautifully decorated wooden arch didn’t stand a chance so when Edward arrived he, and his groomsmen took on the job of helping it stand upright, which involved some cable ties and a few screws. It did the trick and looked amazing (and didn’t fly away).
Once the guests started to arrive we got to work with our pre-ceremony music, We included Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns ‘N’ Roses, High And Dry by Radiohead, and were just about to launch into our acoustic version of Wouldn’t It Be Nice when word came down that the bridal party was approaching.
Before long Ellie and her 3 bridesmaids arrived. They floated down the aisle, to our version of Better Together, and Ellie met Edward at the perfect point for finishing the music (phew!), greeting with a huge hug, applause and laughter. This was going to be an amazing day filled with love.

Louise from Kick Ass Gatherings conducted the most lovely ceremony, describing how Ellie & Edward met, when they got engaged, adopted their dog… it was really nice to hear their love story. After the signing they sealed a box full of letters from their guests as well as a bottle of wine to drink on their first anniversary, Spud, ellie’s mums pup signed the box too, they will open the box on their first anniversary and continue the tradition every year, what a lovely way to start married life together.
When we perform at weddings where animals are running around we (especially Soph) find it very hard to not run up to said animal and shower them with unconditional love so, I think we succeeded in being ultimate professionals, on this occasion!
Once the box was sealed, Louise announced them as husband and wife and danced their way down the aisle to our new favourite tune, Accidentally In Love. Believe us, when you hear it you will love it too!

With no shade in sight, we decided to stay where we were for the drinks reception diving straight in with the likes of ‘Wake Up Little Susie’ by The Everly Brothers, i’ve just seen a face by the Beatles and Ellie’s favourite ‘Send me on my way’ by rusted root – Matilda fan, we see you!
The drinks reception set flew by, we had guests bopping around whilst having photos taken, as well as a very lovely gentlemen who brought us some cold drinks as he could see our skin slightly burning, We finished our set with a jungle book classic ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ to which everyone had a great time singing along.
Unfortunately we had to hit the road pretty soon after we finished, due to being booked for a birthday party but we took a couple of photos before leaving, as everyone was in such high spirits, we hope Dave & Amy from Dave Fuller Photography didn’t mind Soph taking a few photographs alongside them, whilst they did their thing.
Ellie & Edward, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day, we felt like part of the family!
Congratulations!
Some photos of the day…
