Emily & James were on the lookout for an acoustic duo and grange barn wedding band for their wedding day, and stumbled across our acoustic videos on YouTube.
Not long after finding us and scrolling through our Cheshire wedding band videos they decided to book us as their entertainment for their summer wedding.
It’s always such a joy to be booked to play as an acoustic duo at different venues around the Cheshire, and Grange barn was a first for us. We’re not going to lie when Emily enquired we had a peek online and got very excited about how beautiful Grange barn looked.
Not only that the venue owners and wedding co-ordinator couldn’t have been more lovely, which is always a brilliant bonus!
Excited to prepare for Emily & James’ ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast we learnt 3 ceremony requests. They picked some great acoustic wedding songs.
Grange barn wedding band ceremony songs
Walking down the aisle Emily chose ‘can’t help falling in love’ by Elvis, which is a hugely popular choice for ceremony songs these days.. You really can’t beat the classics! Emily’s 2 year old flower girl had a change of heart and decided she wanted to walk back up the aisle, instead of towards James… kids will always make for an eventful ceremony! But fear not, we just repeated a chorus until she was ready to face her audience! 😉
After the gorgeous couple exchanged rings and heartfelt vows we were onto their next song choice, for the signing of the register, ‘The One’ by Kodaline, such a beautiful love song, which Mat has performed a few times too.
And lastly, We serenaded the happy couple back down the aisle as husband and wife with Natalie Cole’s ‘this will be (an everlasting love)’ one of our favourite new additions to our acoustic setlist in 2022, We’d been meaning to learn it for years, thanks for the suggestions guys!
With the sun showing no sign of letting up this summer we were once again treated to a beautiful day to perform outside during the drinks reception, where the kids played with bubbles, parents had a few drinks and enjoyed a few lawn games and we got to work with our acoustic duo music as a perfect backdrop to the glorious day on grange barns beautiful deck. Our drinks reception sets always fly by, as we have such an awesome time entertaining everyone.
Time flies when you’re having fun!
After the speeches we performed our last Cheshire wedding band set of the day, for the breakfast, we included songs like ‘here comes the sun’ and ‘sweet child o’mine’ which turned a few heads and got a few feet tapping, whilst Emily Jameses guests tucked in to grange barn’s exquisite food.
Just before our last song, We noticed a few new faces in the audience, a lovely bunch of people from Onyx Party Band, another Cheshire wedding band, peeked through the curtain to see who was performing, and gave us a smile and nod! Always nice to be supported by fellow musicians, especially ones as talented as these guys! We had to hang around for their sound check, which sounded brilliant! Definitely check them out for your evening reception if you want your guests to dance all night!
After saying our goodbye’s to the happy couple and grange barn’s ever so lovely co-ordinator, Rebecca, we hit the road to get a good nights rest for Ken & Michelle’s Lytham Hall wedding day the morning after.
A beautiful bank holiday celebrating another lovely wedding day with the nicest of people.
If you’re planning your grange barn wedding and are looking for acoustic wedding singers or a Cheshire wedding band to add that musical touch to your wedding day, we’d love to hear from you!
