Faenol Fawr is a delicious wedding venue in North Wales set in beautiful surroundings and owned and run by incredible staff. Emily and Andy asked us to be their acoustic duo for the first part of the day up until the first dance, and what a gorgeous day it was, too!
Their wedding ceremony music choices were delightful, and it was so nice to finally get another chance to perform our acoustic version of From This Moment On by Shania Twain again – it’s been so long!!
Their choice of music to accompany the signing of the register gave us an opportunity to smash together two classic Fleetwood Mac songs: Landslide and Everywhere into one mashup style performance that carried us though nicely until the recessional, where the bride and groom had chosen Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root to accompany them back down the aisle. Perfect 🙂
We also performed an hour’s set during the drinks reception, which was held a short distance away on the front garden of the main house. Thank goodness for those trolleys we invested in! We travel pretty light when performing as an acoustic duo for weddings, but it can still be something of a slog to move from one location to another, so we realised a little while ago that some small carts would really help us out in situations like this… and our spines have been thanking us ever since – lol
We only performed up to and including the live first dance, so it was nice to be home before the sun was fully down. We heard that the party was due to continue until 3am, and who knows: perhaps it’s still going on to this day…?
Thank you so much to Emily & Andy for being so lovely, and having such great taste in acoustic wedding music 😉
