There are wedding venues and then there’s Château Rhianfa: A real life Disney castle holding weddings in the stunningly beautiful Anglesey area of North Wales. We were lucky enough to be booked as Zoe & Darren’s Château Rhianfa wedding band, back in July.
The venue itself blew us away, with stunning views from the stepped gardens to the rear, and we just had to record a couple of the bride and grooms favourite songs prior to the ceremony.
Take a look at the videos below and you’ll see what we mean about this gorgeous location!! (here’s a good tip for any North Wales wedding bands: film yourself in front of something beautiful!!)
Zoe’s father had always been a huge guns and roses fan, so Zoe just had to have us perform our acoustic cover of ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’ for their father daughter dance.

Not only were we lucky enough to play during the wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, but Darren made sure to keep us fed and watered throughout the entire day. This was much appreciated as the weather was a scorching 35 degrees!!
Zoe absolutely loved our cover of Eva Cassidy’s songbird and was set on having us perform this song whilst she walked down the aisle. Eva Cassidy was a huge influence on Soph’s performances as a young singing student, so anytime we get to sing any of her material – be it ‘Time After Time’ or ‘Fields Of Gold’ – we could not be happier!
The bride and groom also took a shine to our acoustic cover of ‘Here Comes The Sun’ by The Beatles. One of George Harrisson’s most iconic contributions to the band, this song has proven very popular in recent years. It has such a sweet and catchy melody, and was perfect or such a beautiful sunny North Wales wedding.

The venue was dressed perfectly for a summer wedding by the lovely I Do Events in Liverpool. We met them back in May during Anthony & Zophie’s Hawkstone Hall wedding, and they can really transform a wedding space!
The utterly gorgeous aisle decorations, centrepieces and styling all through the day were second to none, so give them a shout if you’re looking for wedding stylists.
In addition, it was a pleasure to work alongside Eftal from ladybirds wedding photography whom we hadn’t seen in around 6 years! Let’s not leave it so long next time, bud!
Check out Eftal’s work if you’re on the hunt for an incredible photographer for your Château Rhianfa wedding. His attention to detail and eye for composition really makes his photography stand out! He’s head and shoulders above the majority of the wedding photographers in the UK, and a really nice guy too. For example, he’s been instrumental with advice in setting up our wedding videography company ‘The Taylors Film & Photo‘.
Thank you so much for booking us as your Château Rhianfa wedding band, Zoe & Darren, we hope you had a fantastic fairytale wedding day and an even better Maldives honeymoon, you lucky things! Congratulations to you both.
